The Eames Lounge Chair and Ottoman were designed by Charles and Ray Eames in 1956, and were introduced on national television (The Today Show) by the Herman Miller company. The chair became a highly visible emblem of Herman Miller quality and innovation. This iconic and classic furniture is still highly popular in 21st century.

Unfortunately, due to the nature of the original materials, certain parts of the chair, which are made out of rubber and known as "shock mounts", dry out after so many years of use, and the back of the chair get disconnected from its seat. This is a very common problem with older chairs. The only solution to this problem is replacing the old shock mounts with new ones.

For almost 30 years Renaissance Furniture Restoration has taken care of these kinds of problems. We also refinish wooden shells, replace old plastic swivel bushing with a new one made out of brass, etc.
